2019 Oregon Mid-Am Set for May 4-5 at The Reserve
ALOHA – The Oregon Golf Association will administer the 31st playing of the Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship May 4-5 at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club.
Both defending champions are in the 2019 field. Jake Easterly (Clackamas) won the men’s division a year ago, while Lara Tennant (Portland) captured the women’s division title.
Tennant, who is looking for her third consecutive mid-am title, has won the event four times over the last 16 years (2003, 2008, 2017, 2018).
The 2016 and 2017 men’s winners, Phillip Bagdade (Portland) and Jack Dukeminier (Beaverton), highlight the competitors on the men’s side.
The first groups tee off holes No. 1 and No. 10 both days beginning at 8:30am. Upon the completion of Saturday’s opening round, the field will be re-paired by gross score for the final round.
It is the first time for The Reserve to host the Oregon Mid-Amateur, which will be played on the facility’s South Course.
The women’s competition, which features 11 players, is playing 5,761 yards with a course rating of 72.2 and a slope rating of 135. The men, with a field size of 72, will play at just under 7,000 yards (6,968) with a course rating of 72.9 and a slope rating of 137.
