Each year the Oregon Golf Association administers multiple-day men's and women's championship competitions in various formats (stroke play, match play, four ball, team and net score).

The OGA's competitions department also administers the region's qualifying tournaments for national championships hosted by the United States Golf Association (USGA).
The USGA promotes and conserves the true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions, while also acting in the best interests of the game for the continued enjoyment of golfers.
