Eligibility
Entries are open to amateur golfers who, since January 1, 2021, have been bonafide public course players and have not held a membership at any course which does not extend playing privileges to the general public or membership with any private club maintaining its own course. Entries in the Men’s Division is limited to golfers with Handicap Indexes of 36.4 or less. Entries in the Women’s Division is limited to golfers who are female with Handicap Indexes of 40.4 or less. All contestants must be members in good standing of an OGA Member Club and be at least 13 years of age as of July 24, 2021.

Format
36-hole stroke play competition. Players have their choice of entering either the “Championship” or “Open” flights. In the event of a tie for Men’s or Women’s Gross Champion in the Championship flights, the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.
- Championship Flight: Players entering the Championship Flight will play from a separate set of tees, at a longer yardage. Scores will count toward OGA performance points.
- Open Flight: Players entering the Open Division will play from a separate set of tees, at a shorter yardage.

Fee Details
$150.00 entry fee must accompany your entry and will include:
- 3 Rounds of golf - One practice round and two competitive rounds
- OGA hosted lunch provided
- Tee prizes
- Gross and Net prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each flight
- Special Awards from Jones Sports Co. will be awarded to the Champions.
Refunds are not available after the closing deadline of July 7th, except for documented medical reasons. All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative fee.
Deadline Details
Entries will be accepted according to the date of receipt of entry and entry fee. Entry deadline July 7th. Entries by telephone, fax, or email must accompany payment and must be received by 5pm of the deadline. Online entries are accepted until midnight. Late entries will be accepted and placed on an alternate's list to fill spots if they become available up until a time that the OGA Staff establishes. Late entries will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by the correct entry fee, plus an additional fee of $25. Contestants must contact the OGA in order to submit a late entry.
Handicap
Course Handicaps are reduced according to USGA recommendations. Players receive 95% of Course Handicap to calculate the final Playing Handicap. Course Handicaps will be based on the July 21st Handicap Index.
Field Limit
The field will be limited to 144 players, including Men and Women. Entries will be accepted according to the date and time of receipt of entry and entry fee.
Exemptions
Defending Champions Calum Hill and Victoria Gailey are eligible for entry into the Championship. Exempt players must meet eligibility requirements and file an entry by the deadline.

Performance Points
The purpose of the OGA Performance Point lists is to identify players for OGA sponsored teams: the 2021 Hudson Cup Team, the 2022 Morse Cup Team and the 2022 PNGA Lamey Cup Team, exemptions into the Oregon Amateur Championship for the top 50 on the Men’s Performance Points List, exemptions for those eligible into the Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship for the top 25 on the Men’s Mid-Amateur Performance Points List, and establish nominations for OGA Golfer of the Year. All points awarded from the men’s and women's performance points schedule will count towards senior men’s and women's points.
OGA Net Performance Points Adjustment (KTPS)
The OGA Tournament Committee has instituted a policy by which they reserve the right to adjust the Playing Handicap of any competitor in future competitions. This Policy is based on a modification of the Knuth Tournament Performance Points System (KTPS) as licensed from Dean Knuth.
A reduction of a competitor’s Playing Handicap will be based on the following criteria:
High finishes in any Net portion of a 36 hole OGA championship with 81 participants or more in a division during a two year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1st = 12, 2nd = 10, 3rd = 8, 4th = 6, 5th = 4.
High finishes in any Net portion of a 36 hole OGA championship with 40 - 80 participants in a division during a two year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1st = 8, 2nd = 6, 3rd = 4, 4th = 2.
High finishes in any Net portion of a 36 hole OGA championship with 20 - 39 participants in a division during a two year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1st = 6, 2nd = 4, 3rd = 2.
High finishes in any Net portion of a 36 hole OGA championship with 1 - 19 participants in a division during a two year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1st = 4, 2nd = 2.
High finishes in any Net portion of an 18 hole OGA competition (OGA Tour – Individual Series) during a one year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1st = 3, 2nd = 2, 3rd = 1.
High finishes in any Net portion of an 18 hole OGA competition (OGA Tour – Partner Series) during a one year period will be awarded points accordingly: 1 – 9 teams 1st = 3, 10 – 19 teams 1st = 3, 2nd = 2, and 20+ teams 1st = 3, 2nd = 2, 3rd = 1.
Any contestant who accumulates 17 points over the stated period may have their Playing Handicap reduced by 1 stroke for use during the competition.
Any contestant who accumulates more than 17 points during the stated period will have their Playing Handicap reduced an additional 1 stroke for each additional two points accumulated.
