74 Players Look To Earn Two Spots Into U.S. Senior Open Championship at Sectional Qualifying Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Club
Molalla, Ore. – Seventy-Four players will look to advance Thursday to the 2015 U.S. Senior Open Championship, taking place June 25-28 at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif.
The Oregon Golf Association, the USGA Regional representative, will conduct the qualifying tournament. The top two players from the Sectional Qualifier at Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla, Ore. will advance to the Championship proper.
Among the many accomplished amateur and professional players competing are Arrowhead PGA Professional Bruce Stewart (Molalla, Ore.), looking to advance to the US Senior Open for the third straight year, and Arrowhead member Pat O’Donnell (Happy Valley, Ore.), who was most recently the 2013 U.S. Senior Amateur Runner-up and 2014 Oregon Senior Amateur Champion.
Also competing to qualify are 2015 PNGA Cup participants Scott Hval (Portland, Ore.), Randy Mahar (Portland, Ore.) and Charlie Rice (Bend, Ore.). All three played on Team OGA in last week’s PNGA Cup held at Columbia Edgewater CC in Portland, Ore.

A total of 2,445 entries have been accepted for the 2015 U.S. Senior Open Championship, scheduled for June 25-28 at Del Paso Country Club, in Sacramento, Calif.
Sectional Qualifying will be played over 18 holes at 34 sites across the United States between May 11 and June 4, including qualifying sites in 26 states. In addition, places in the 156-player field are reserved for eligible winners of official PGA Tour and Champions Tour events in the weeks remaining before the 2015 U.S. Senior Open.
