Champions Crowned at Four-Ball, Senior Men's Amateur and Net Championships

The OGA recently crowned champions at the 6th Oregon Four-Ball Championship, the 37th Oregon Senior Men’s Amateur Championship and the 37th Oregon Net Championship.

Recent Championship Results:

The 6th Oregon Four-Ball Championship was held Aug. 26-29 at Juniper Golf Course in Redmond. The duo of Harrison Moir and Zach Foushee won the open division championship bracket, while Emily Song and Kyra Ly took home the title in the women’s championship bracket. Doug Banks and Walter Porterfield won the senior championship bracket.

Moir-Foushee topped Brent McKee and Jack Pennington in the finals, 3&2. Song-Ly defeated Marcia Fisher and Mary Budke, 4&3. Banks-Porterfield were victorious over Michael Freebor and Shane Johnston, 4&3.

At the 37th Oregon Senior Amateur Championship played Sept. 7-10 at Arrowhead Golf Club, it was Russell Humphrey taking the top spot with a 1 up victory over Gregg Guernsey. Humphrey won matches over Ryan Hop (3&2), Bo Ballard (1up), Greg Chianello (7&6), Scott Hval (1up) on his way to the final match.

The Oregon Net Championship took place Sept. 18-19 at Heron Lakes Golf Club on the Greenback Course. Karen Govier won the women’s division title at 3-over par (81-66) edging out the second place finishers by three strokes. The men’s champion was Scott Hefflinger who finished 14-under par (63-67) to win the event by five strokes.

The 2021 OGA Championship schedule continues with the 12th OGA Tour Championship held Sept. 25-26 at Silvies Valley Ranch in Seneca. The 94th OGA Men’s Team Championship is set for Oct. 2-3 at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, Wash. Additionally, the 73rd Hudson Cup Matches are set for Oct. 13-15 at Oswego Lake Country Club.
