Geraghty Named New Director of Marketing & Communications
WOODBURN, ORE. (August 5, 2016) – Chris Geraghty has been hired as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Oregon Golf Association, announced Friday by OGA CEO Barb Trammell.
“Chris brings a wealth of sports marketing and communications experience to the OGA,” said Trammell. “We look forward to him joining our dedicated team committed to providing opportunities for all who wish to play the game.”
Geraghty has most recently worked in a content development role at Evanta, a conference facilitation company, where he advised speakers and shaped presentation lineups for corporate executive summits. Prior to Evanta, he served as an athletics communications representative at the University of Oregon from 2008-13. Geraghty also spent five years at the University of Montana supporting the athletic department's marketing, media relations and website development efforts.
"I'm excited to be joining the Oregon Golf Association," Geraghty said. "I look forward to promoting the OGA, an organization committed to growing the sport's participation and notoriety."
Geraghty is a 2003 graduate of Pacific University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. Geraghty will begin his position with the OGA on Monday, August 8th.
