Golf, Prizes, and Music Videos at the Southern Oregon Junior

Medford, OR – The final round of the Southern Oregon Junior at Rogue Valley Country Club brought a variety of highlights: a right-handed PeeWee Boy flipping his club over for a beautiful left-handed shot into the fairway, the Hammericksen sisters each taking home champion’s trophies, a huge assortment of additional prizes generously donated by Rogue Valley Country Club, many RVCC members as volunteers and starters, and a soon-to-be-viral music video (check out our Facebook page to view it).

In the Boys Open 14-17 Division, Craig Ronne took the win after posting a two-day total of 1-over-par. Jack Rodewald and Nicholas Timm each posted two-day scores of 4-over-par. Timm won a scorecard playoff for second place by shooting 3 strokes under par in his last six holes.

In the Girls Open 12-17 Division, Victoria Gailey won her second straight major, posting a two-day total of 11-over-par. Gailey was followed by Taylor Hartley and Reilly Whitlock, who tied for second with two-day totals of 16-over-par.

Zach Henley won the Junior Boys 16-17 Division with a two-day total of 15-over-par. Dylan Henry and Rhett Pedersen ended their rounds tied for second, each scoring two-day totals of 22-over-par.

Karsyn Rushing, playing in her first major of the season, won the Girls 15-17 Division by 12 strokes as she posted a two-day total of 24-over-par. Rushing was followed by Josephine Fraser and Kirsten Reed, placing second and third, respectfully.

Keith Lobis won the Boys 14-15 Division by 16 strokes after posting a two-day total of 14-over-par. Lobis was followed by Taylor Anderson and Andrew Jaroslow, placing second and third, respectfully.

In the Intermediate Girls 12-14 Division, Baylee Hammericksen won her second major of the season, posting a two-day score of 9-over-par. She was followed by Kaylee Wu and Haley Brown, placing second and third, respectfully.

In one of the closest divisions of the tournament, Brandon Eyre won the Intermediate Boys 12-13 Division by shooting 12-over-par. Danny Hext followed in second place with 13-over-par, followed by Riggs Loftin in third place, who shot 14-over-par.

In the PeeWee Divisions, Riley Hammericksen won the Girls 10-11 Division by shooting a two-day total of 16-over-par. Arthur Venderby won the Boys 10-11 Division by shooting a two-day total of 9-over-par. The Girls 8-9 Division was won by Natalie Yen, shooting a two-day total of 28-over-par.
