Stoll, Jacobs Earn Titles at 2018 PNGA Women's Amateur
PULLMAN, Wash. -- Gigi Stoll (Tigard, Ore.) won the 117th Pacific Northwest Women's Amateur Championship, while Amanda Jacobs (Portland, Ore.) won the 17th Pacific Northwest Women's Amateur Championship on Friday, July 13. Both events were held July 9-13, 2018 at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.

Stoll defeated Alivia Brown (Gig Harbor, Wash.) 2&1, while Jacobs beat Gretchen Johnson (Portland, Ore.) 4&2.

The win for Stoll marked her first PNGA Women's Amateur title. The three-time Oregon Women's Amateur champion has earned PNGA Women's Player of the Year three times (2014, 2015, 2017). The rising senior at the University of Arizona recently led the Wildcats to the NCAA National Championship in the spring.
In an all-Oregon final, Jacobs won her third PNGA Women's Mid-Amateur title (2014, 2016). Jacobs and Johnson have played together in the previous two Oregon Amateur Four-Ball Championships, winning in 2016 and advancing to the final in 2017. Jacobs has been named PNGA Women's Mid-Amateur Player of the Year the last three years, and in the last two, has advanced to the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur quarterfinals.
