Low Scores Abound at the Klamath Basin Jr.

Twelve golfers finished even par or better during the first round of the 2018 Klamath Basin Junior at The Running Y Ranch.  For the second straight tournament, William Fleck (Bend, Ore.) opened with a 4-under par 68.  He sits atop the leaderboard with Scotty Kennon (Bandon, Ore.), who played the last four holes in 4-under par to finish with a 68.  Sitting one stroke back with a 3-under 69 are Austin Boyle (Portland, Ore.), Collin Hodgkinson (Beaverton, Ore.), and Andrew Tennant (Bend, Ore.).

Aerin Song (Beaverton, Ore.) holds a one shot lead on the field following 4-over 76.  Song turned in a 1-under 35 before holding on during the back-nine to maintain her lead.  Olivia Venerdby (West Linn, Ore.) sits alone in second place with a 5-over 77.  Kaylee Wu (Medford, Ore.) and Baylee Hammericksen (Medford, Ore.) will also be in the mix during the final round tomorrow following scores of 6-over 78.
