Ray Richards finished 1-under par to win the 68th Oregon Men’s Stroke Play Championship played July 24-26 at Salishan Golf Links in Gleneden Beach. The 54-hole stroke-play competition included a cut to the low half of the field (including ties in each division) after two rounds of play.

Additional Coverage:

Richards won by two strokes over Graham Moody, who finished in second place at 1-over par.

Richards (73-67-69) was the only player to record multiple rounds under par during the event. He posted the low score in Saturday’s second round, a 3-under 67 which featured four birdies on the back nine. Richards followed that up with a final-round 69 to pull ahead of the field. It was a come-from-behind victory for the Richards, who opened the competition with a 3-over par 73 on Friday.

After playing the first 36 holes at 2-under par, Moody (68-70-73) faltered in Sunday’s final round with a 3-over par 73. He opened the competition with a 2-under par 68 on Friday – a bogey-free opening round backed by 16 pars, and birdies on holes Nos. 1 and 4.

Naoki Easterday (73-75-66) and Robbie Ziegler (71-73-71) placed third and fourth respectively.

Pat O’Donnell finished 1-over par for the competition en route to his 10th career Oregon Men’s Stroke Play Championship Senior Division title. O’Donnell (71-74-69) shot a 2-under par 69 in Sunday’s final round to win the event by two strokes.
