Slama, Swann to Compete in U.S. Women's Amateur
A pair of OGA Members – Ellie Slama and Kennedy Swan – are participating in the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship played Aug. 3-9 at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.
U.S. Women's Am:
It is the second time that Slama, from Salem, has competed in a U.S. Women’s Amateur. She also competed in the 2018 U.S. Women’s Amateur held at the Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tenn. Slama plays collegiate golf at Oregon State University.
Swan is an OGA Member through Tokatee Golf Club in Blue River, Ore. She is originally from Austin, Texas, and is a collegiate golfer for the University of Mississippi. It is her first U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship appearance.
This year marks the 120th playing of the U.S. Women's Amateur. Woodmont CC will play as a par 72 at 6,553 yards. Live television coverage on Golf Channel begins Wednesday, Aug. 5 with the match play Round of 64.
