Oregon Mid-Amateur Registration Deadline Looming
The deadline to enter the 33rd Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship is Wednesday, April 14. This year’s competition will be played May 1-2 at Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City.
Oregon Mid-Amateur:
There are two qualifiers for the men’s field – April 17 and 20 – both at OGA Golf Course in Woodburn. The price to register is $155 ($55 qualifying + $100 event fee if qualified). Tee times for the qualifiers will be announced and posted Thursday, April 15.
The women’s field is open to OGA Members with Handicap Indexes of 22.4 or less. The men’s field has eligibility of 10.0 or less. The final Championship field will include exempt players as well as those that advance from the additional 18-hole stroke play qualifying stages.
The Mid-Am is a 36-hole stroke play competition. Prize awards will be made on the basis of Gross finish for the Men's Division and Gross and Net finish for the Women's Division. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to top finishers in each division.
Trophies and a Jones Golf Bag will be issued to the low gross champions in each Division. In the event of a tie for the Gross Championship in either division, the winner shall be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.
