Collin Hodgkinson and Yvonne Vinceri cruised to titles in their respective open divisions at the Peter Jacobsen Junior Challenge held June 15-16 at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis.

More than 170 golfers competed in the several different boys and girls divisions.

In the Boys Open 14-18 Division, it was Hodgkinson who shot back-to-back 67s en route to an 8-under par finish. He posted six birdies in the first round and followed that up with five in the second round to win by five strokes.

Lucas Hughes (69-70) and Elliot Lee (69-70) tied for second a 3-under par, while Sam Renner (75-65) took fourth place at 2-under.

In the Girls Open 12-18 Division, Vinceri (71-72) finished 1-under par and cruised to a four-stroke victory over the field.

Vinceri posted five birdies, offset by four bogeys, in her opening round on Tuesday. She shot even par on Wednesday, a round with four birdies and four bogeys.

Vinceri posted her second victory in as many weeks having won at the Centennial Junior Championship played June 5-6 in Medford.

Momo Udom (73-74) finished in second place at 3-over par, while Emily Song (79-71) and Jacinda Lee (76-75) took third and fourth respectively.

The next OGA Junior Golf major tournament is the 24th playing of the Oregon Junior Stroke Play which is set for June 21-23 at Chehalem Glenn Golf Course in Newberg.
