O’SULLIVAN MEDALS AT US WOMEN’S AMATEUR QUALIFIER AT PUMPKIN RIDGE

(North Plains, Ore.) Hannah O’Sullivan, of Paradise Valley, AZ shoots 4-under par 35-33-68 to beat the rest of the field by 6-strokes and earn Medalist Honors on the 5,935 yard par 72 Pumpkin Ridge – Witch Hollow Golf Course.

Five spots were available at the North Plains qualifying site. Seshia-Lei Telles, of Tualatin, Ore. was the lone Oregonian to qualify. Joining Telles is Dorsey Addicks of Gallatin Gateway, MT and Krista Fenniak of La Quinta Cal, who all shot a 2 over par – 74.

A play off for the last spot and two alternate positions occurred with those players that fired a 3-over par 75. Taylor Kim of Surrey, BC won the final spot on the second playoff hole over Jordan Ferreira, of University Place Wash., Kristin Strankman of Richland, Wash was the second alternate after making bogey on the first playoff hole.

This years’ U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship will be held at Nassau Country Club, Glen Cove, NY August 4 – 10.
