Ryan Wyckoff Named Senior Director of Golf Course Operations for the OGA
Oregon Golf Association CEO Barb Trammell announced today the promotion of Ryan Wyckoff to Senior Director of Golf Course Operations for the OGA.
In his new role, Wyckoff will oversee all aspects of golf operations, including pro shop and food & beverage operations. Wyckoff will continue to perform his responsibilities as OGA Golf Course Superintendent and Director of Agronomy, a position he has held since 2003.
“Ryan’s leadership abilities, coupled with his excellent communication skills, make him the perfect person to assume this role,” said Trammell. “In addition, he has a great relationship with the homeowners surrounding the course and is well respected by the rest of our staff.”
Prior to working with the OGA and OGA Golf Course, Wyckoff graduated from Oregon State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Turf Management. He became the Assistant Superintendent at Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club in Blaine, Wash. shortly after graduating, before moving on to the Pebble Beach Company on the Monterey Peninsula in California, where he also served as Assistant Superintendent. While at Pebble Beach, Wyckoff assisted with the 2000 U.S. Open and the 2000 and 2001 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Ams. During the 2006 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club and the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, Wyckoff volunteered to work on the Golf Course Maintenance Staff.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to aide in the continued success of the OGA Golf Course,” said Wyckoff, who also served as President of the Oregon Golf Course Superintendents Association from 2011-13. “We have a great team and I look forward to playing a key role in enhancing our operation and facility for the OGA members, as well as our guests."
Wyckoff begins his new role effective immediately.
