2015 Championship Schedule Announced, Registration Open Friday, February 20
Woodburn, Ore. (February 18, 2015) – The Oregon Golf Association recently finalized and announced the schedule for its 2015 Championship season. Registration begins Friday, February 20th, coinciding with the first day of the Portland Golf Show.
Highlighting this year’s schedule are the 106th Oregon Amateur Championship at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha, Ore., the 32nd Oregon Senior Amateur Championship at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell Ore., the 85th Oregon Junior Amateur Championship at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, Ore., and the 27th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship at Wildhorse Resort & Casino in Pendleton, Ore.
Additionally, registration for the 6th season of the OGA Tour will open for registration the same day. The OGA Tour has a slate of new golf courses to play this year including Tokatee GC, Astoria CC & Shadow Hills among others. The OGA Tour Championship will return to Pronghorn this year with the Championship competition held on both the Nicklaus and Fazio courses.
“It’s going to be a great year of Amateur Championship Golf for players in Oregon and Southwest Washington,” said OGA Director of Tournament Operations Brent Whitaker. “Another year of great golf courses. In particular, we are excited to have Willamette Valley Country Club host the Oregon Men’s Stroke Play, as it has been many, many years since this championship has been back to the Portland area.”
Registration for the 2015 Championship season will be available online by clicking here, in person at the OGA Office in Woodburn, Ore., or by calling our office and requesting an entry form beginning on February 20, 2015 at 12:00 AM PST. Registration for Oregon Junior Golf will open on May 1st. Please note that online entries may be unavailable at certain times due to GHIN services maintenance starting at 6pm PST February 20 and continuing throughout the day Saturday, February 21.
