Twenty-Two Advance to Championship Proper after Oregon Amateur Qualifier #3

Oregon City, Ore. - Twenty-two more players advanced to this year's Oregon Amateur Championship after the third qualifier took place on Tuesday at Stone Creek Golf Club in Oregon City, Ore.

Seven players tied for medalist honors at 1-under par 71: Scott Dwyer (Stayton, Ore.);  Tyler Gabriel (Beaverton, Ore.); Jarred Gomez (Vancouver, Wash.); Arthur Kim (Tigard, Ore.); David Patterson (Vancouver, Wash.); Rudi Pino (Vancouver, Wash.) and Austin Spicer (Gresham, Ore.).

Five-over par ended up as the cut line, and three players tied for the 22nd and final spot into the Championship proper after 18 holes. After a birdie on the first playoff hole, Edgar Aponte (Portland, Ore.) advanced.

One final Oregon Amateur qualifier remains. Twenty-seven players will battle for the final 10 spots into the Championship this Sunday, June 14th at Emerald Valley Golf and Resort in Creswell, Ore.

The 106th edition of the Oregon Amateur Championship takes place June 22-27 at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club - North Course in Aloha, Ore.
