Three Advance to 2015 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

WOODBURN, ORE. - Three players advanced to the 2015 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship after qualifying was held on Tuesday at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn, Ore.

Jim Dunlap (Beaverton, Ore.) and William Snow (Vancouver, Wash.) shared medalist honors after both fired impressive rounds of 3-under par 69. The third and final spot was decided in a playoff between Matt Hartley (Vancouver, Wash.) and JC Riter (Portland, Ore.), who both shot 2-under par 70. Riter parred the par-4 first hole, while Hartley bogeyed it, guaranteeing Riter of the last qualifying spot.

Hartley earned the first alternate position, while Eric Fiskum (Salem, Ore.) is the second alternate. Fiskum defeated Bob Harrington (Portland, Ore.) and Mike Kloenne (West Linn, Ore.) in a playoff after all players shot 1-under par 71 after 18 holes.

This year’s U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship will be held October 3-8 at John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, Fla.
