Team of Adam Araneo/Justin Kadin Advance to 2017 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship
WOODBURN, ORE. – The side of Adam Araneo (Eureka, Calif.) and Justin Kadin (Corvallis, Ore.) advanced to the 2017 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship through the qualifier heldTuesday at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn, Ore.
The team of Araneo/Kadin fired a 5-under par 67, tying with three other sides after 18-holes of qualifying: Kyle Cornett (Mill Creek, Wash.) and Patrick Sato (Bellevue, Wash.), Gaston De La Torre (La Center, Wash.) and Andrew Leneve (Camas, Wash.) and Ryan Hawkins (Sherwood, Ore.) and Matt Keyser (Lake Oswego, Ore.).
In the four-team playoff to determine the one qualifying team for next year’s championship, Araneo/Kadin advanced with a birdie on the first playoff hole. The side of De La Torre/Leneve earned first alternate honors after a birdie on the second playoff hole.
The 2017 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship will be held May 27-31, 2017 at Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in Pinehurst, N.C.
