OGA CEO Barb Trammell Earns 2016 Oregon PGA Professional of the Year

JUNCTION CITY, ORE.Oregon Golf Association CEO Barb Trammell was honored Monday with the 2016 Oregon Golf Professional of the Year Award, given out by the Oregon Chapter PGA at Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City, Ore.

The 2016 Oregon Chapter PGA Award winners were voted on by fellow Chapter members in the fall of last year. Trammell and all honorees are nominated by the Chapter for consideration for next year’s Pacific Northwest Section PGA Awards.

Trammell has over 30 years of golf industry experience, including her time serving as the OGA’s CEO. Prior to joining the OGA, Trammell was Founder and President of VisionFore Solutions, an independent global golf consulting company specializing in event management, competitions expertise and Rules education. Before establishing her company, Trammell was Senior VP of Tournament Operations for the LPGA Tour, having served in that role for 19 years, beginning her tenure as a Rules official in 1987.  Widely regarded as an internationally respected Rules expert and golf administrator, she was one of the first women to be invited to officiate The Masters, Open Championship (British Open), US Open and PGA Championship. She served on the USGA Rules of Golf Committee for 15 years, contributing to the changing and updating of the Rules of the game during that time.
