Jake A. Rodgers dominated the Boys Open 14-18 Division, while Asia Young cruised to a win in the Girls Open 12-18 Division at the Central Oregon Junior Championship held July 19-20.

The tournament was played at Meadow Lakes Golf Course on day one and then at Eagle Crest Resort – Ridge Course on day two.

Rodgers, who won by six strokes, carded an opening-round 68 and followed that up with a final-round 69. He was the only competitor to shoot in red figures for both rounds.

Nicholas Nautiyal (71-72) and Adam Wrenn (69-74) tied for second at 1-under par.

In the top girls division it was Young who posted rounds of 78 and 75 en route to a six-stroke victory. Katrina Von Behren (76-83) finished second, while Corinne Lillywhite (80-82) took third place.

The OGA Junior major tournament schedule continues with a pair of events played in Southern Oregon. The Southern Oregon Junior Championship is set for July 26-27 and will be played at Rogue Valley Country Club in Medford.

Then on July 28-29, the junior circuit heads over to Running Y Ranch Resort in Klamath Falls for the Klamath Basin Junior Championship.
