Sam Renner won the Boy’s Open 14-18 and Hannah Lim cruised to a victory in the Girls Open 12-18 at the Central Willamette Junior Amateur Championship played July 12-13.

The first day of the event was played at Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby. Renner (71-74) was the only player to score in the red, shooting a 1-under 71 in a round where he birdied six holes – including three straight on holes Nos. 5-7.

Colby Sullivan (76-70) and Dane Huddleston (75-71) made a charge in the final round played at Arrowhead Golf Course in Molalla, but came up came up a stroke short to finish in a tie for second.

On the girls’ side it was Lim (79-70) who shot 2-under par in the final round to take the title by three strokes. She entered the second day one stroke back of the leaders – Sofia Fuenmayor (78-74), Jade Gruher (78-75) and Bayler Brundage (78-81).
