Riverside to Host 34th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship
The 34th Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship will be played April 30-May 1 at Riverside Golf and Country Club in Portland. Both defending champions – Jack Dukeminier and Lara Tennant – highlight the respective men's and women's fields.
Oregon Mid-Am (April 30-May 1):
Dukeminier is seeking his third consecutive Mid-Am crown, and fourth title in the last six years. He was victorious last year at Shadow Hills Country Club in Junction City and OGA Golf Course in Woodburn a year prior. Dukeminier won his first Mid-Am title back in 2017 at Arrowhead Golf Club.
Lara Tennant is the reigning champion on the women's side after her win last year at Shadow Hills. The recently named PNGA Hall-of-Famer has tallied five titles overall in this event (2003, 2008, 2017, 2018, 2021).
Other former Mid-Am champions on the men's side include include Jonathan Romano who won in 2019 and Jake Easterly who took home a title in 2018.
Brie Stone is another former champion in the women's field. Stone won six out of seven Mid-Am titles from 2010 through 2016, including a stretch of five straight from 2010-2014.
Prize awards will be made on the basis of Gross finish for the Men's Division and Gross and Net finish for the Women's Division.
Entries were open to female golfers with Handicap Indexes of 22.4 or less, while the men's field required 10.0 or less.
