Snow, Ardueser Take Home Pub Links Titles
William Snow and Madalyn Ardueser won titles in the top divisions at the 22nd Oregon Public Links Championship played Aug. 10-11 at Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks.
The men’s competition included both a championship and open division. Snow, from Vancouver, Wash., shot an opening round 68 and followed that up with a 69 on Sunday to win the championship division at 7-under par (68-69-137). Kevin Mackin (69-72-141), Max Murai (70-71-141) and Ryan Fery (69-72-141) tied for second at 3-under par.
Beaverton product Casey Cameron (78-67-145) won the men’s open division at 1-over par. His final-round 67 was the low round of any competitor.
Madalyn Ardueser, from Eugene, won the women’s division by four strokes at 1-under par (71-72-143). Her opening round 71 – five birdies offsetting four bogeys – was the low round on the women's side.
Fellow Eugene product Jennifer Krause finished 3-over (75-72-147) to take second place.
The OGA Championships schedule will take a short break before resuming with the 35th Oregon Net Championship scheduled for Sept. 28-29 in Portland.
