Team Oregon Remains T-12 After Second Day of Girls' Junior Americas Cup

Southern California fired a team score of 6-under par 210 to grab a 3-stroke lead over Mexico after the second round of the Girls’ Junior Americas Cup being held at Walla Walla Country Club in Walla Walla, WA.

Muni He led the way with a second round 3-under 69 while Brigette Dunne added a 2-under 70 and Stephanie Lau rounded out the team with a second consecutive 1-under par 71. The fourth team member, Rong Ji, added a 2-over par 74 but her score was not counted under the tournament format of counting three individual scores each day and throwing out the team's highest score.

Team Mexico, the defending champions, are just off the pace and sit 3 strokes behind. The team has been led by Ana Paula Valdes who birdied her final four holes today to fire a 4-under par 68. Valdes leads the individual portion of the event by two strokes over Lau and Haley Moore from San Diego.

Pairings and live scoring for tomorrow’s round is available on the Girls’ Junior Americas Cup website www.gjac.org
