Defending champion Lara Tennant registered a 3&2 victory over Maggie Leef in the round of 32 before her 4&3 win over Pamela Kuong in the round of 16 at the U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship. Both rounds were played Tuesday at Cedar Rapids Country Club in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Tennant, from Portland, will face 13th-seeded Lynne Cowan Wednesday at 8:10am (CT) in the quarterfinal round.
