DAVID SKINNS HOISTS TROPHY IN OMAHA
Englishman David Skinns finished the Pinnacle Bank Championship presented by Heartland Chevy Dealers at 16-under 268 Sunday to pick up his first Web.com Tour title in his 65th career start. The 36- year-old birdied the 72nd hole at The Club at Indian Creek to best money list leader Sungjae Im by two strokes and pick up $108,000 in earnings, enough to move from 132nd to No. 33 on the Regular Season money list. Prior to his win, Skinns had just two career top-10s, a T2 at the 2017 WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft-Heinz and a T9 at the 2014 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation. Skinns’s win marks the 17th event won by a first-time victor this season, as well as the 10th win by an international-born player in 2018.

TROY MERRITT EARNS SECOND PGA TOUR VICTORY
Just a year after finding himself in the Web.com Tour Finals for the first time since graduating from the Tour in 2013, Troy Merritt posted a final-round 5-under 67 during the Barbasol Championship’s Monday finish to end the week at 23-under 265, good for a one-stroke victory over Billy Horschel and fellow Tour alums Richy Werenski and Tom Lovelady. The Boise State University alum last won on TOUR in 2015, when he picked up his first title at the Quicken Loans National. Since then he’s picked up four top-10s, two of which came earlier this season. Merritt’s victory moves him from 131st in the FedExCup Standings to No. 65. The 32-year-old has made 72 starts on the Web.com Tour, notching five top-10 finishes, including a win at the 2009 El Bosque Mexico Championship presented by Innova.

ROGER SLOAN AND ADAM SVENSSON TO COMPETE IN RBC CANADIAN OPEN
Current Web.com Tour members Roger Sloan and Adam Svensson are set to compete in their home country’s RBC Canadian Open contested at Glen Abbey Golf Club this week after receiving sponsor’s exemptions into the field. This will mark Svensson’s fourth time competing in the event, having played it as an amateur in 2013 (CUT) and 2014 (CUT), and again as a professional in 2015 (T34). The 24-year-old has had a career-best season on the Web.com Tour this year, having picked up four top-10 finishes, including a win, to sit at No. 8 on the money list. Sloan will also be making his fourth start at the event, with his first appearance coming in 2011 (CUT). The 31-year-old will hope to best the T52 finish he had in Canada in 2013. Sloan enters the week fresh off a T10 finish at the Pinnacle Bank Championship, a performance that moved him up to 48th on the money list.

2018 WEB.COM TOUR MEMBER TO WATCH

Kyle Jones – 25 – Grapevine, Texas

Baylor University alum Kyle Jones struggled during his rookie season on the Web.com Tour in 2016. The former All-American missed 10 cuts in 20 starts, picking up just two top-25 finishes and ending the season at No. 114 on the Regular Season money list. Now in his second season on Tour, Jones has found his stride. The 25-year-old has notched five top-25s in 19 starts this year, including a career-best T2 at the LECOM Health Challenge.
