Winners Crowned at 2015 OGA Tour Championship
BEND, ORE. - The 2015 OGA Tour came to a close on Sunday, where the top performers throughout the season competed this weekend at beautiful Pronghorn Resort in the OGA Tour Championship.
Golfers played the Nicklaus couse on Saturday, finishing the 36-hole event on the Fazio course on Sunday. Forty players competed in the Individual Series (20 in the Open Division and 20 in the Senior Division), and 24 teams played in the Partner Series (10 Open Division teams and 14 Senior Division teams).
After a cold, blustery and rainy Saturday, scores were on the higher side. However, a beatiful day greeted the players on Sunday, with lower scores across the board.
In the Open Division Individual Series, Scott Dwyer earned the gross win after shooting scores of 77-74 - 151 (+7). Net-wise, Matthew Bangs won with net scores of 73-76 - 149 (+5). Stacy Solomon won the Senior Division in the Individual Series after scores of 77-84 - 161 (+17), while Donald Klippstein won the net in the Senior Division after shooting 73-74 - 147 (+3) net.
The Partner Series was highlighted by some great scores by impressive teams. In the Open Division, the team of Matt and Mike Klenz fired a first-round 69 (-3), then followed it up by shooting an incredible 7-under par 65, totaling 134 (-10) for the weekend and winning the gross title by nine shots. The team of Erik and Jim Paige earned the net victory, shooting 64-67 - 131 (-13).
In the Senior Division of the Partner Series, Greg Bolt and Mike Dewitt earned the three-shot gross win, firing scores of 75-71 - 146 (+2). Net champions Mark Fallon and Thomas Banker shot 63-69 - 132 (-12) to win by two shots.
